If you have been diagnosed with Excessive Blood Pressure then it is important to have a Blood Pressure Monitor like the Omron HEM-780 to help keep a check on a daily basis. The Omron HEM-780 Blood Pressure Monitor consists of an Upper Arm Cuff and the Digital Display.
This model was the first to be fitted with Morning Hypertension Alert.Anyone suffering from Morning Hypertension has a raised Blood Pressure level for a short time after waking up If this is not diagnosed then it could result in an increased threat of heart attack or even strokes.. The Omron HEM-780 comes with IntelliSense technology and the ComfiFit Cuff which are unique for the Omron series of Blood Pressure Monitors. Blood Pressure levels will be monitored through IntelliSense technology and regulates the inflation levels so that they can provide accurate reading with maximum comfort. The cuff automatically deflates after the measurement is recorded. As the Comfit Cuff is pre-formed, there's no problem fitting it by yourself. Because the cuff has markings on it, correct fitting is easy. The cuff is designed to fit a large range of arm sizes. It will accomodate between nine and seventeen inches circumference.The Omron HEM-780 Digital Unit has a sloping bezel top with a big Display for ease of reading. Readings shown on the display include Systolic (during heartbeats), Diastolic (between heartbeats) and Heartbeat Rate..
Although Omron Blood Pressure Monitors have the reputation of being accurate,the Omron HEM-780 improves the accuracy with the addition of two Averaging Modes, TruRead Mode takes three measurements, with an one minute interval between every reading. The cuff will inflate and deflate automatically between readings. The average of the readings is shown on the screen after all 3 measurements are completed. Single Read Mode is based on three recent readings taken less than 10 minutes apart. The average of these tend to be displayed The Average symbol shows that the reading is a merged measurement. The Omron HEM-780 can keep Blood Pressure measurements for 2 people. It allows as much as 84 readings per user which are Date and Time stamped. Starting from the earliest records, measurements will be overwritten once all 84 memory locations are occupied. (It is a good idea to extract any measurements you require for your data, before they are erased with new data) Eight weeks of Average records for Morning and Evening can also be stored.. There is also a capability to allow Guest Users, but the readings are not stored. The Omron HEM-780 is supplied with an AC Adaptor and 4 x "AA" batteries. We would recommend you to power the unit with the AC Adaptor in the house, and store the batteries for whenever you are travelling. Omron provide an useful Storage Case to give some protection to the Display Unit.
