How far should I hold my infrared thermometer from the heat sink on my Savage X 4.6?
I am trying to test my engine temp. At the top of the heat sink, it said 220 degrees, but inside the heat sink it said that the engine temp was 250 degrees. I don't think the difference of 2 or 3 inches should make this large of a difference.
