floor lamp with built in dimmer?
I'm looking for a simple cheap floor lamp (single pole) with a built in dimmer. I don't want a lamp with 3 light levels I want one with infinite light levels (rotary?). There's a bunch of lamps at the stores but almost all of them say "3-way rotary switch", which says exactly nothing to someone who knows nothing about lamps. I can't find a single site on the Internet that explains lamps, just 1000 stores and self-wiring sites. If I can figure out what the "business" talk is for a lamp with built in dimmer is I can go down and find something, but 3-way rotary switch is worthless information. Thanks.

A 3-way is just that. The one you are looking for will say Dimmer on it. The other choice is a high power single( on/off ) and then buy a slide dimmer for it. Your lamp plugs into the dimmer which plugs into the wall. Still confused or need more help, contact me.
