HELP! I can not type apostrophes or question marks or..!?
This is what happens:
apostrophe button = è
quotation button = È
right angle bracket = " and left = '
grave = /
tilde =
left bracket = ^ and right = ç
left brace = ¨ and right = Ç
WHY?
BTW, I used the shift + 6 buttons to get that question mark!

Answer:
Your Default Keyboard Settings are set to a European Standard, not the American Standard (or visa versa) for Keyboards. Keyboards made in the United States have different keys in different places than Keyboards made for other Regional Language Sets. Do a search for how to change your default keyboard mapping for the specific Operating System that you are using. The process to change the keyboard mapping settings are different for each type of OS. You should be able to find a simple walkthrough that will let you set your Keyboard mapping back to whatever matches your hardware configuration.
BTW, on windows machines you can go to Start->Run and then type "charmap" (without the quotations) ... this will bring up every symbol you could possibly want to type. You will be able to type in these trouble keys by using nothing but your mouse ......... just a temporary solution until you find that walkthrough to change your keyboard mapping.
